Yearly Goal: To enhance scientific understanding of physics (mainly), and other concepts.
Quarter 1
This quarter in science we have broaden our understanding about chemistry. We learned about different chemical reactions, and how a reaction takes place. We learned on what factors affect reactions, and most of all studied several methods on how chemical reactions take place. We learned different chemical formulas, which are important for us to understand when doing experiments, so that we know what the outcome is when adding a certain amount of chemicals with one another. I also was able to carry out one experiment with my friend, and were to produce a lab report with it. Though there were a lot of chemical equations this quarter, and a lot of them were related with math. I was able to successfully do most of my problems during my test, and understand it. I wish to keep this ability up for the quarters to come.

Acid Base Titration Lab Report
CHOSEN WORK
My chosen work for this quarter is my acid base titration lab report about my experiment I did based on that. It was a difficult and confusing experiment at first, however eventually I was able to do it well with my group member. The reason to my success in my lab report is because I was able to describe in detail the steps that took place during my experiment, and analyze my findings from the experiment concerning about acid base titration. It was a very tricky lab report, since I face difficulty in producing a clear hypothesis, and also had difficulty understanding my calculations. However eventually I was able to find my mistakes. Producing a very detailed and analyzed paper, which covered nearly all my findings of my experiment.
IMPROVEMENTS
There were these times though when I produced my lab report that I was totally confused on what to do, and or how to answer a certain part of it. This was at first because I wasn't able to think of a clear hypothesis, and then because I wasn't able to get the correct findings, because the calculations we used were difficult to understand. Eventually however I was able come to a hypothesis that gave me a clear idea of what my experiment was about, and its goal. Helping me to evaluate it. I also was able to with help of my friends understand the calculations we used to find the molarity of hydrochloric acid, after doing acid base titration with sodium hydroxide. Next time I would like to improve my understanding of the hypothesis and calculations, by thinking clearly before producing the lab report and the hypothesis. This would help me to focus, and think about the experiments main goal. Then also discuss certain things with my friends. So that we are able to compare our findings with one another, this would help me to get a better understanding on several things in the lab report, and would help me to improve next time to get less confused.

We learned more about our key concept this quarter, by studying different systems used in chemistry, and how they are all related with one another. These systems which are the formulas make it easier for us to solve chemical equations, and helps us to understand how a chemical reaction takes place, and what might be produced. The systems help organize our understanding of chemistry, and are an effective way to see the relation in it all.
