Itinerary
Day 1
On the first day we left SPH Sentul 6:30 AM. We took at least 4 hours to reach Bandung, and our first destination Sri Baduga Museum. There we saw artifacts from the past, such as toys from the past, and artifacts from the time Dutch colonial times. After that we visited a place called Suang Udjo where we saw played with our angklungs, ate lunch, and made sections of the angklung. After Saung Udjo, we headed towards Garut. Where we stayed at a hotel which had a pool with hot water. There we stayed for a night, and swam in the pool with hot water.
Day 2
On our second day we woke up around 5 AM. We readied up and started our day by eating our breakfast. We leaved towards Kampung Naga around 9 AM. It took about 1 hour and 30 minutes for us to reach Kampung Naga. Kampung Naga is a village located near the city of Tasik Malaya. It is a village that doesn't use any electricity, and is also a village where the villagers live in harmony with nature. During our first day there. We first got an introduction from the village leader, where introduced to our rooms, and house owners, and toured around the village. It was very nice, and beautiful there. It was also very peaceful there. Our tour guide was called Bapak Dermawan. Kampung Naga was I think the best place we visited because it was an Indonesian village like no other, and it made me quite impressed.
Day 3
We didn't really do much during the last day. We basically ate breakfast, said bye-bye, bought several souvenirs, and sat in the bus heading home to SPH. I loved the food in Kampung Naga. The baths there were also kind of enjoyable since the water came directly from the mountains, and felt very refreshing. In Kampung Naga I have learned more about how to live in harmony with the environment. I also learned why its important to inherit cultures. I enjoyed most of our field trip, but I am also happy to be back home.
