Reflection of the Year
Goals for this Quarter
1. Succeed in Math, and other subjects I got a 4 for.
Explanation: The only subject I got a 4 for this year was math. I don't know yet if I improved but already have a feeling that I have succeeded this goal since, I got satisfied scores for my latest math test, and that I did pretty well in this quarter. Math before for me was one of the hardest subjects for me. It still is now, but I am improving. Which is good. I hope that I keep improving in math, and that I won't become lazy to study.
2. Become more confident
Explanation: I think that I have become a bit more confident throughout this year. Especially because I joined drama. Drama helped me to improve my confidence, and helped me to not fear to express myself in front of my friends, and the teacher. Though I am not entirely confident. Besides that presentations throughout this year helped me also to become more confident, since I had to become confident in order to present. So I think that I have achieved this goal partially. Since I am more confident then before, however I am still in progress to become even more confident.
3. Get at least a 7 for a random subject
Explanation: There is not a clear answer if I achieved this goal. Since I haven't got my quarter 4 report card yet. However for report cards I have got earlier this year I have never gotten a 7. I hope that in this quarter (quarter 4) I will have achieved this goal, and at least have one 7 for my report card. There is a possibility that I could this goal for the following subjects which are Bahasa Indonesia, and maybe (only 20% sure) English. Since I have nearly always gotten good grades for these two subjects.

The Subjects
Humanities, English & Tech
I think that the subjects I was most successful at this year were humanities, english, and technology. Though I didn't always get a perfect score for these subjects. I think that these are the subjects I did these subjects well, and saw a lot of improvement with these subjects. Since at first I got a 4 for humanities during quarter 1, which later turned out to become a 6 in quarter 2 & 3. That also turned to happened in tech during the first quarter i got a 5 for tech which turned out to become a 6 in quarter 2 & 3. I hope to improve a even more in these subjects since there are still sub-minor problems that are an obstacle for me to get a 7.
Math (Overcoming)
I think that this is the subject I suffered most in this year, and the subject I found the most difficulties with. The reason why this is the subject where I struggled the most with. is because I often struggled to answer questions. Also I often became stuck when I wanted to answer questions in worksheets, and tests, and often struggled to understand the way. However this is also the subject I saw the most improvement in during quarter 4 since I started to practice, understand and ask questions to the teacher if I didn't understand the way. I also usually got bad scores for tests, my highest would only be 50% correct. I hope to improve in this subject throughout grade 9. So that I could be more successful in math, and be more successful in life since math is one of the important subject and thing we need in life.

Approaches to Learning (ATL)
Reflective
The ATL I am confident with is reflection. I think that I am confident in this ATL, since I would usually reflect on my self after each day when I lie in my bed. On what I did well, or wrong. Also besides that I would usually reflect on myself when seeing my work. Usually analyzing my work looking for things that I did well, and could improve. I pretty much showed this ATL in all subjects since I would always reflect on my works after I have received them after grading, which has been done by the teacher. I learn my reflection skills, and keep on improving them. By reflecting on my works more carefully, and by analyzing in more carefully. Also besides that I improve my reflection skills by just reflect on more, and more of my works, and see what I could improve, or keep up. I think that a way I could master the skill of reflecting is by reflecting on my work more carefully. Since nowadays even if I have reflected on several works. I still sometimes wouldn’t get the highest score since there were mistakes I haven’t seen when I was reflecting the work. Also beside that if I have something to improve, I should really improve it, and not just leave it to look like something that isn’t important. This would improve my reflection skills, since by improving improvements I could see that reflecting on my work would be very useful for me. Making me more willing to reflect on my work.
Organization
I think that the one ATL that I am not confident with throughout this year was organization. It was because I usually procrastinated, and started my projects just one week before it has to be submitted. I suffered a lot from doing procrastination, and resulted in tiredness, laziness, and sometimes-bad results. I think that a way to develop my skill of organization is just to become more disciplined with myself. If I would be more disciplined I would follow advices more often, and am able to finish the project even before the last week before submission. It would also result into me becoming less lazier, and tired since I wouldn’t have to sleep late to finish the project. The help I could need from school is just that there could be more lessons talking about procrastinating, or organization. So that my objectives are clear, and that I could persuade myself to do what is right.
According to a teacher procrastinating is corruption. I agree since procrastinating acts like the money given by temptation for us to slower our progress to do what is right.
