Physical and Health Education
Yearly Goal: To be able to obtain and keep a healthy mental and physical body.
Quarter 1
This quarter in Physical and Health Education (PHE) we started learning about the healthy intake of calories for our bodies per day, and how important exercise is to burn calories. We learned that foods often snacks trick us in the amount of calories it contains, and that we should be more caution on the amount of food we eat per day, or it might exceed the amounts of calories we need. We could compensate the amount of food we eat, by burning the calories through exercises. We also learned how to play better basketball during PHE, by making our own goals and action plan to improve our basketball skills, and practiced several skills in badminton. I think I did pretty well in this quarter, and wish to keep it up in the quarters to come.

Diet Plan
CHOSEN WORK
My chosen work for this quarter in PHE is my diet plan which I had created. The diet plan was a three day plan in where I had to describe on what I should consume to make my daily intake healthy. So that I do not exceed or fall low on the amount of calories I had to consume per day. I had to describe on why I have chosen to make the diet plan in such a way, and why it was important for me. I think that the thing that made this diet plan successful was that I was able to describe and evaluate my plan in detail. I was able to justify the things I was saying within the essay explaining my plan, and able to come up with a logical and effective three day plan.
IMPROVEMENTS
There are though still things lacking in my diet plan, which I could improve next time in order to make it more effective. THose are things like structure on how the my diet plan is described. Though I wrote the diet plans description in a detailed justified way, the lack of structure in certain areas, makes it less effective in understanding it. In certain areas of the essay it was more of a jumble of words combine then a nice structured and understandable paragraph. This is due to the fact that I was in a rush, and that my brain was already a bit of tired from other works, and a bit lack of sleep. I would like to improve the structure next time by being able to think before what I want to say, and having enough sleep and rest times in between the times I am working on my assignments. So that my mind can take a breath, and think more effectively during the times I am working. By doing so the structure of the essay could be improved and would be more understandable.
KEY CONCEPT: RELATIONSHIPS
In PHE this quarter I have learned more about my key concept, by knowing the relation between our food consumption and me. I have found out that I have a balanced diet, which can compensate with the amount of exercise I do per week. I know now the relation between my food consumption and me would greatly affect my health. Since if I am not able to maintain a good and balanced diet, with the amount of exercise I have. I would live an unhealthy life, where it would eventually be difficult for me to stop bad diet habits. I have learned in this quarter that it is important to know the relationship between our food consumption and myself, so that we could know how to maintain a healthy diet.
